I can’t remember what happened!!
I can’t remember what happened!!

UH HUH!
Nothing much.
Still the same traffic and polluted air.
Been eating a lot of sugar.
And
I lied today.
Let’s start fresh in October.
when your wedding ring doesn’t fit anymore!
(read: a bit tight)
Hi, if you’re wondering how I’m doing, I’m doing just fine in this third world country. Commuting four hours on the road to and from work, learning different kinds of loans, grocery shopping in the wet market, beginning to cook regularly, spending my salary on shoes and saloon, always looking forward to weekends because weekdays are so exhausting, are what I have been up to.
Additional info:
I’m crazy about two things lately. Number one is Lock and Lock (food container). I want it in all shapes and sizes. Number two is spicy food, as in spicy till your stomach aches.
I’m beginning to get crazy about one more thing: getting my hair washed and blow dried at the saloon.
Oh Jakarta, what have you done to me!
I have been married for two months.
I’m only excited because it’s weekend.
I’m only motivated because of this sms: ‘Selamat pagi,Irma sayang Papa.selamat bekerja ,semoga senang ,semangat, dan gembira selalu.’
I’m only looking forward because I’m getting new shoes.
Instead of congratulating me for my recent marriage, people ask questions such as:
How was the first night!
Or give comments like:
OOHHH you walk differently now *wink*.
Is this a joke? Because I don’t find it funny.
Counting down days and hours is not a new thing for me. I used to count down to when I’m going to see my Benny Hutagalung. For almost two years I counted down 14 days, 7 days, 3 days, tomorrow, 12 hours, 1 more hour, a few more minutes…
I can never forget the excitement of waiting at the arrival hall of Changi Airport. And I can never forget the sorrow at the departure hall… that’s when I had to count down from the start again.. 3 weeks, 2 weeks, 1 week…
Sucked. Counting down sucked.
I’ve started a new count down recently though. Now I’m down to 48 hours. 48 hours to some say the happiest day of my life. But for me, it’s 48 hours to never start a count down again.
It’s 48 hours to forever.
I was asked a few necessary questions to apply for membership.
The lady asked: Are you married or not?
Two seconds later I said: Um I’m getting married this Saturday.
The lady replied: Well, you’re not then.
I wish I have funny stories to tell you. But I don’t! The things happening around me are really depressing. Don’t wanna ruin your day with emo posts.
Oh I know! I’ll tell you this: I only work for 12 days this month! Exciting right!
Oh and! I’m turning 30 in 7 years! Um well I guess that’s rather depressing than exciting huh.
What else what else.
Um Um Um.
I’ve been in the cab for over an hour and I’m still far away from home.
Ugh. That is really depressing. I’m sorry.. I hope you’re having a great day though.
Oh and I have one tip for you: don’t ever work/study/have a life in Jakarta.
I can assure you this is the best advice anyone could give.
xoxo
